Yesterday morning I woke up in a bad mood. I started in on how dirty I felt the house was... plus, I found another "accident" in our bedroom floor. I told David "Thats it! I am about to rip up this carpet! It is already worn out, and I just don't feel like it is clean. If I didn't have to get to work I swear I would rip up this disgusting carpet..."
Innocent rant, right? Well, I got home to concrete floor in our bedroom, with (a very proud) David waiting for me- "Surprise!" Well... okay.
Looks like we will be tiling the bedroom this week! He just makes me laugh!
Very "David" story, wouldn't you say? It brings a Christmas tree to mind.
ReplyDeleteBTW, for all the other followers of this amazing blog - the cute little girl in the picture is my granddaughter, Hailey. She'll probably grow up to do random things like rip up the carpet in her bedroom on a whim! ;D
HONEY! I did the exact same thing once! I bought this super expensive Mohawk brand carpet that was 100% guaranteed not to smell from dog accidents... Needless to say, Mickey snuck in there and marked his territory. That carpet smelled like something DEAD! I made Tony search our house for a dead animal! LOL! Still totally serious. The next day I took a brand new Cutco knife and cut that carpet up! It had only been down for a month. It was beautiful but STINKY carpet. Mohawk (needless to say) did not stand up to it's promise to replace the carpet, sighting that the installers were at fault, etc. not the carpet itself. Let me just say that the installers didn't stink but the carpet DID! You go kids! I'm proud...I have cold floors in the winter but I'm proud.
ReplyDeleteHey! Tell David to install those new floor warmers I've read about! Wouldn't that be great. You could have the heat set to warm the floors about 30 minutes before you get up and BAM! warm, clean, stinkfree floors!
Smooches!
Amy
